Preface:

In India, agriculture continues to be dominated by the belief that its base is crop production. Animal Husbandry is also closely interwoven with agriculture and plays an important part in the rural economy. 

Therefore, various studies suggest that Dairying has an enormous potential to improve the socieconomic status of the larger percentage of rural population.

Since 1998, India has been the largest producer of milk in the world, by producing 77.0 Mill. Tones in the year 1999 valued at Rs 770000 Mill. India has a share of more than 18% in the world milk production with annual milk production increasing at the rate of 4.5%.

Promoters of the unit have a long experience of setting up industries like cane manufacturing, fruit and vegetable products, flashlight torches, dry cell batteries and miniature lamps and their successful operation. The present corporate objective is to promote dairy industry on priority. The unit is presently into processing of milk , producing milk products and marketing.

The unit at present has the capability to process 9750 Ltrs. of milk per day. It is processing and packing pasteurised milk, ghee, paneer, curd, mattha and butter. Unit has plan to expand and add skimmed milk powder manufacturing plant. 200 villages(more than 2000 families) are benefited with plant by supplying milk. 

Plant:

Commercial Production was started in January 1998.

Registered Plant Capacity is 9750 Ltrs per day, HOWEVER, ALL the key machines are of higher Capacity and the Plant's capacity can be raised to 40,000 Ltrs per day by adding a very few balancing machines. 

It is a fully automatic Plant with all process machines from M/s Alfa Laval.

Current Products: Pasteurized Milk in pouches of 500 ml (standard, Toned and Double Toned), Cream, Ghee, Paneer, Butter, Dahi, and Mattha. All the products are manufactured in - house.

            Capacity utilization: 70%

There is tough competition with a Government Dairy in the market.

Production Specifics:

Milk is tested ,filtered, weighed, chilled, pasteurised, skimmed and pouched in 500 gms. plastic pouches. Quality control lab has all testing equipments.

Marketing:

Our milk and milk products are distributed to around 800 retail outlets twice daily. There is no system of including intermediaries or brokers for the distribution of our products. We use trucks, jeeps and three wheelers for the distribution of our products. 

 

Future Plans:

There are plans to increase our production capabilities and extend our marketing area. For this purpose our future plan is divided in two stages

Stage 1 

1. To add Butter making facilities.
2. Do extensive marketing with advertising support.
3. Utilize 100% Plant's capacity. (i.e. 9750 Ltrs/day)
4. To open company's shops.
5. To procure Refrigerated Vans.

Stage 2

1. To add balancing machines and raise capacity to 40,000 Ltrs per day.
2. To add Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP) manufacturing Plant.
